Please read these Terms of Service carefully before placing an order or using the services provided by The Print Company. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. About Us
The Print Company is a print distributor and e-commerce retailer. We source and coordinate production through third-party print suppliers and deliver finished products to customers across Ontario and British Columbia. We act as the primary point of contact for all orders placed through our platform.
2. Orders & Payment
- All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order.
- Prices are displayed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are subject to change without notice.
- Payment is due at the time of order unless otherwise agreed in writing for corporate accounts.
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store payment card information.
- Applicable taxes will be added at checkout based on your shipping address.
3. Artwork & File Requirements
- You are responsible for supplying print-ready artwork that meets our specifications. Please refer to our Print Specifications page.
- By submitting artwork, you confirm that you own or have the right to use all content, including logos, images, and text, and that it does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights.
- We are not responsible for errors in customer-supplied artwork, including spelling, grammar, colour accuracy, or resolution issues.
- Artwork approval is required before production begins. Orders will not proceed without your sign-off on a digital proof.
4. Production & Turnaround
- Production timelines are estimates and begin only after artwork approval and payment confirmation.
- Standard turnaround is 10–15 business days. Rush timelines may be available at an additional cost.
- We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including supplier production delays, shipping carrier delays, or force majeure events.
5. Shipping & Delivery
- We ship to addresses within Ontario and British Columbia. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.
- Risk of loss and title for products passes to you upon delivery to the carrier.
- We are not responsible for delays or losses caused by shipping carriers once the order has been dispatched.
- Please inspect your order upon receipt and report any damage or discrepancies within 5 business days.
6. Returns, Reprints & Refunds
- Due to the custom nature of print production, we do not accept returns based on a change of mind.
- If your order arrives with a manufacturing defect or a production error on our part, we will arrange a reprint or issue a credit at no additional charge.
- Claims for defective or incorrect orders must be submitted within 5 business days of delivery with photographic evidence.
- We are not responsible for errors approved by the customer in the proof stage.
- Refunds, where applicable, are issued to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear.
7. Colour & Print Variance
Colour output may vary between digital proofs and printed products due to differences in monitor calibration and print processes. Minor variations are inherent to commercial printing and are not considered defects. We print using CMYK colour mode; files submitted in RGB will be converted and may shift in colour.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on our website — including text, images, logos, and design elements — is the property of The Print Company or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce or use any content without our express written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Print Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or products. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the order giving rise to the claim.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes take effect upon posting to this page. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
